Schedules of  Reinforcement

schedules of reinforcement

Schedules of reinforcement are either continuous or intermittent.  If the schedule of reinforcement is  continuous the target behavior is reinforced every time it occurs.  If the schedule of reinforcement is intermittent the target behavior is not reinforced each time it occurs.  Intermittent schedules can be either a ratio or an interval schedule.  Ratio schedule can be broken down further into fixed ratio and variable ratio.  Interval schedule will be either fixed interval or variable interval.
